Monach House - Bonar Bridge - Sutherland

The self-catering annexe has been recently renovated and refurbished throughout to provide a relaxing place to holiday.

 

Although actually attached to the main house, the annexe is completely self-contained with its own two entrances, centrally heating and, although newly decorated, retains its charm and original features.

 

The cosy sitting room has a log burning stove to greet you after a day out in chilly weather. TV is provided by Sky Freesat; there is a DVD player with a variety of DVDs to watch and more available from the owners. Please ask for a list. There is also a CD player and a good selection of board/card games and plenty of books.

 

The large kitchen/diner is well-equipped with electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge , freezer and washing machine; hopefully all you need to make your self-catering holiday a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

 

We have added a conservatory off the kitchen area where you can relax and enjoy the morning sun and there is also a small patio garden with furniture – ideal for a barbecue, weather permitting!

 

Bedrooms (one superking/twin room and one double) are extremely comfortable with 'Memory foam' mattress toppers, Egyptian cotton sheets and micro-fibre duvets and pillows. (Feather can be provided if required).

 

There is a WC and wash-hand basin upstairs, between the bedrooms, and a downstairs shower room (good, powerful shower and unlimited hot water) also with WC and wash-hand basin; both have heated towel rails and plenty of fluffy white towels.

 

We welcome well behaved, sociable dogs and are happy to provide baskets for them in the conservatory. Guests are requested to keep any pets either in the conservatory or kitchen area for the benefit subsequent guests who may have allergies. Your co-operation will be appreciated.

 

There are a number of excellent walks in the immediate area enjoyable for both dogs and owners.

We have three pet dogs of our own. They are not permitted in the kitchen whilst we are preparing food: however they do have access to the rest of the house at times, so Monach House would not be suitable for anyone with a severe dog allergy.

 

Parking is available to the rear of the house. Mountain bikes can locked safely inside the conservatory.
